This is the last year for the original "Fire in the Hole" roller coaster at Silver Dollar City.

It's the ride (and the theme park) that introduced me to the Bald Knobbers. I used to think that was just a made-up theme park thing, but the Bald Knobbers were a very real group. Look 'em up.

Anyway, next year they're opening a new "Fire in the Hole" ride. I'll miss the old one but am lookin' forward to the new ride!
